Ode to the Spring Buds
Everything sings of flowers in spring,
A medley of tunes
Made new.
Withered buds have long been lost,
Surrendered to winter’s irresistible
Droning.
But life-song renews itself
With the murmurs of swelling buds
That grow into
Lyrical tunes of colors.
The cacophonous blending
Of each one’s
Full-throated aria
Somehow weaves itself
Into a glorious chorale
That can tremble the Earth.
